Selection of papers relating to the colonial affairs, accumulated by Sunderland during his tenure as secretary of state. Included are letters, communications, reports, etc. from the Board of Trade and colonial administration and legislative bodies, chiefly those of New Jersey and New York, with a few items from South Carolina, Virginia, and Massachusetts. Correspondents include Joseph Dudley, Lewis Morris, Edward Hyde, 3rd Earl of Clarendon, and others.
